Crazy Donks: Lifted and Fitted with Hot Wheels

Standing out means taking it to another level and that’s what donks are about. Recognized as “sky-scrapers” or “hi-risers” due to the lifted suspension and huge wheels, donks originated from Dirty South subculture. They’ve spread across the U.S with a lapse of time and gained popularity not only among rappers. You might wonder why donks are named so…Well, this term is from the “Impala” symbol referred to as a “donkey” or “donk” (for short) by hi-riser enthusiasts. That’s why the most favourable vehicles for these types of modifications are full-size Chevy models, that is the Impala, Monte Carlo, Caprice, and Chevelle. Similar fullsize Ford models, Buick Roadmaster, Cadillac Deville, and Seville are also often customized in the hi-riser style. How donk enthusiasts customize their rides? Grabbing their “baby”, they provide it with oversized sick wheels, ranging from 22 to 30 inches or more and expensive audio equipment. Fanciful custom paint-jobs are by all means applied! Lol. Yeah, donk owners love to stand out. Luv ‘em or hate ‘em, ’cause these rides won’t leave u indifferent fo sho. Check out the most grandiose donks after the jump and feel free to leave a comment!
